We will be going outside to study science throughout the year. Our first visitation will be coming shortly. Please read
the page below to get a better idea of outdoor learning and to assist you in getting the necessary gear to be successful.
Preparedness: Outdoor Learning in Science
Learning in the outdoors will provide us with many valuable and memorable learning experiences. Students will be using
a science journal to make observations, conduct field studies, as well as quarterly reflection. Typically, we will be learning
outside on Friday. Expect that we will be learning outdoors on this day unless previously noted. It is very important that
everyone arrive to class prepared, as one unprepared student can jeopardize the experience for everyone. We will be learning
in the outdoors rain or shine. Although we won't be learning in the outdoors as much in the winter, we will on occasion conduct
outdoor winter science experiences. Below is a list of equipment necessary for outdoor learning in science.
